An awesome version of Brazil national anthem.
This is maybe one of the most famous brazilian songs. “The Girl from Ipanema” (Garota de Ipanema), composed by Vinicius de Moraes and Antônio Carlos Jobim in 1962!!!
The song was inspired by Heloísa Eneida Menezes Paes Pinto (now Helô Pinheiro), a seventeen-year-old girl at that time.
Vinicius de Moraes wrote she was:
“the paradigm of the young Carioca: a golden teenage girl, a mixture of flower and mermaid, full of light and grace, the sight of whom is also sad, in that she carries with her, on her route to the sea, the feeling of youth that fades, of the beauty that is not ours alone—it is a gift of life in its beautiful and melancholic constant ebb and flow.”
Means: The Friendship – Fundo de Quintal
The chorus is:
“Quero chorar o seu choro
Quero sorrir seu sorriso
Valeu por você existir amigo”
“I want to cry your cry
Want to smile your smile
Thanks for existing, friend”
“Women – Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho”
A beautiful song made by the famous singer Martinho da Vila. This show was in 2007 in the inauguration of the City of Samba in Rio de Janeiro. The song tells about all different types of women that can exist.
